Update in Acute & Emergency Care Pediatrics Conference

Overview
The 7th Annual Update in Acute & Emergency Care Pediatrics conference is a result of collaboration between the four Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Centers (CRPCs) in Tennessee, the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (TNAAP) and Tennessee Emergency Medical Services for Children (TN EMSC). The emphasis of the course is to provide practical clinical information on urgent and emergent pediatric issues in an atmosphere that encourages participant interaction.
Target Audience
The conference is designed for pediatricians, emergency physicians, family practitioners, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and pre-hospital providers.
Conference Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Apply increased knowledge in pediatric emergencies
Practice improved skills for managing the critical and injured child
Present evidence based, practical information on pediatric emergency medicine topics for the practitioner

Vanderbilt School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for CME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Nurses and Pre-hospital personnel
You are welcome and highly encouraged to attend this conference! CME certificates of attendance will be issued to non-physicians; the Tennessee Board of Nursing and the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Division will accept these certificates and apply the hours towards license renewal.
Credit Designation
Vanderbilt School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Registration
The registration fee for the Update in Acute & Emergency Care Pediatrics Conference includes course material, continental breakfasts, lunch on Friday and snacks during breaks. Confirmation of your registration will be sent upon receipt of payment. Full refund will be given for written cancellation notices received before October 20, 2008. Cancellations after that date will be assessed an administrative charge. No refunds will be given after October 27, 2008. Please note that Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt reserves the right to alter program titles, speakers, or sessions if circumstances so dictate or the right to cancel or reschedule this conference due to an insufficient number of registrants.
Fees
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants: $250 until October 3rd, $275 after October 3rd.
Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Residents and Fellows: $150 until October 3rd, $175 after October 3rd.
Pre-hospital personnel: $100 until October 3rd, $125 after October 3rd.
